Directed by Phyllis Papa, the ACBT Performing Arts Academy is the official school of  Atlantic City Ballet.  The Academy offers dance classes in classical ballet, pointe, adagio, jazz, tap, and Hip Hop. The Academy also offers theatre, voice, piano, and violin lessons. The school educates both the serious student as well as students who simply want to have fun and exercise.  Student ages range from three to sixty-five. Adult dance classes are offered for those with no previous dance experience, as well for those with intermediate and advance training.

ACBT’s winter intensive program is a fully certified high school academic program. Students can also receive up to 12 college credits in affiliation with the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Phyllis papa, director of both dance and academic programs, is on faculty at Richard Stockton College. This program is designed for the career minded student who wants to be competitive in the challenging and rewarding world of ballet. Our teachers' goals are to coach each student to their fullest capacity, achieving the highest improvement possible. The staff is committed to making a personal impact on each student.
A summer and winter Performing Arts Camp is an intensive program available to the serious student and to those wishing to make dance a career.

During the summer, the Swim Academy offers American Red Cross lessons, levels I through VII, water aerobics and water training in the facility's Olympic size pool.
Many of our former students are enjoying professional careers in ballet companies all over the world, such as Robert Hill, principal dancer with The American Ballet Theatre and Andrea Boardman in Le Grand Ballet Canadian. Other dancers have become members of the Netherlands Dance Theater, New York City Ballet, London Festival Ballet, and the Israel Ballet, to name a few.

Other former students are enjoying professional careers as choreographers and directors for both Broadway and dance companies, such as Jim Vincent, director of Hubbard Street Theater, Frank Bove, director of the Virginia Ballet, and Monique Gruter, popular choreographer in France and the Netherlands, as well as others. Many more have very interesting careers teaching in universities and private dance studios.

For the dedicated student, ACBT’s Performing Arts Academy is your gateway to a rewarding career!
